What Is BMX?

BMX is like no other sport out there that people have tried. No one sits on the bench, everyone gets an oppurtunity to ride and to complete the race. You are only limited by your own abilities. Every major sporting event is officially sanctioned by a recognized organization and BMX is no exception. Hunterdon County BMX, Egg Harbor Township BMX, Central Jersey BMX and Mullica Hill BMX are all affiliated with the National Bicycle League(NBL).

If you decide to become a BMX rider then you will receive a membership card and NBL number. With this number, we tabulate and post the points you earn at any track throughout the United States and parts of Canada. That way, you can compete in Local, State and National events and will be eligible for year end awards on local, state and national levels.

Anyone who is able to ride a bike can race in BMX. It is not restricted to men or women, anyone can play. BMX is fast, flashy and exciting and it may seem to appeal to the would-be daredevil. Nevertheless, it is basically a safe sport, and injuries occur less often than in many other youth sports.
