Bouldering

Good spotting is the art of guiding the climber’s fall rather than trying to catch him/her. If you’re asked to spot someone, you should aim to guide the fall by taking the hips so he or she lands on both feet. If it’s your first time, ask another climber to assist you. Until you’re an expert climber it’s not a good idea to climb on your own, especially not on higher problems.

Skateboarding For The First Time

There are three main and important parts to a skateboard, the wheels, the trucks and the deck. There are many different kinds of decks. Some of the most common ones are: Boom, Blank, Edwards, Zero, Birdhouse and Shortys. The trucks job is to support the wheels. You can get abec ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, six, sevens. Abec ones are the slowest. Most people select Abec threes because they are the right speed for most people. You can get plastic or rubber wheels. If you prefer speed then rubber wheels are the way to go.

Try not to spend too much on your first board because you are going to scratch it up quite a bit.
